The $10,000 scholarship fund will provide financial aid for local youth soccer players to participate in summer programs.

Golden Boot Soccer is a local soccer training company has been providing soccer training services in Northern VA, DC and Southern MD for 14 years. They work with over 5000 local youth players annually.

The Golden Boot Scholarship program has been established to provide players in financial need an opportunity to participate in soccer camps this summer. Over $10,000 worth of free camps are being given away. The scholarships are available for the members of affiliated local soccer clubs. Player ages 4-18 may apply.

Every summer, youth soccer players attend soccer camps and soccer programs. With the struggling economy, many local soccer players cannot afford paying the enrollment fees. Parents are not able to give their kids the opportunity to play soccer with fellow teammates and friends. The Golden Boot scholarship Program enables them to participate in the camps free of charge. Kids who qualify to receive the scholarship will be able to join the camps, improve their soccer skills and have fun playing the game of soccer.

Golden Boot Summer camps run from June 20– Sept 2, 2011.  Scholarship application submissions begin May 10th. Deadline is June 30th, 2011.
